Trends in Tax and Estate Planning

By Advisor.ca and Investment Executive

Rudy Mezzetta, senior reporter at Investment Executive and Melissa Shin, editorial director of Advisor's Edge and Investment Executive, presented a tax and estate policy update at the Distinguished Advisor Conference, hosted by the Knowledge Bureau on Oct. 28, 2020. In this session, you will hear the status of tax and estate planning proposals from Budget 2019 (the most recent federal budget to date), promises from the Liberals' 2019 election platform, and issues raised in the Sept. 2020 speech from the throne. The journalists also discuss campaign promises made by U.S. president-elect Joe Biden.

In the opinion of CE Corner, the content of this session aligns with FSRA’s requirements for Life and Accident & Sickness credits. However, it remains the responsibility of the individual license holder to check FSRA credits and confirm suitability.
